The new era for nightclub lighting?

A New Revolution

Gyms are becoming more than a room full of weights and machines, with sound and light playing a big part. A pumping soundtrack and pulsating light system can elevate people and motivate them to push harder and get more out of their workout.

More and more nightclub style lighting systems are being used to acheive this, taking the euphoria you get on the dancefloor and bringing it into your workout.

Workout Lighting

Working out can be a very personal thing, and making people feel comfortable while doing so is very important. Setting the right atmosphere can help give your gym a welcoming feel that will appeal to all. A big room with bright white lighting may look open and spacious, but can also make people feel self conscious and reluctant to want to participate.

Mood lighting can be used to great effect, giving you complete control of brightness and colour, and add to this zone control means you can adjust areas separately depending on their use.

Music Systems

Its quite common for people to wear their own headphones into a gym but for those that don’t, or leave them at home by accident, the last thing you want is to have a silent or quiet room where all you can hear is the grunts of people working out and the thud of footsteps on the tradmills.

A system doesn’t have to cost the earth, and doesn’t have to blow the roof of with excessive volume, but good clear sound is a great attribute to have when you are trying to make the whole experience as enjoyable as possible for your customers.

Workout Classes

Spinning, combat, zumba, boxercise, aquafit…. the list goes on!

Group excercise classes are incredibly popular, the motivation provided not only from your instructor but from the people around you all trying to push themselves to their limit. The space these classes take place in can have a huge effect on the overall feel and enjoyment of the session.

This is where the crossover of nightclub style lighting has moved into the gym studio in an attempt to create the most immersive experience possible. From digital LED systems, moving head beam lights, lasers, smoke and more, these effects can all be incorporated to great effect.

Whether you need a yoga studio with slow flowing pastel colours, to a spin studio with fast pulsing lights, we can help design a system to suit your needs.
