The Showtec Online Store offers UK trade sales of sound & lighting
equipment to professional users and busnisses. The equipment offered is
not designed for domestic or consumer use due its complicated and
professional nature, and by purchasing from The Showtec Online Store,
you are confirming that you are a competent user within the trade.
All items purchased from The Showtec Online Store are supplied with a
manufacturers 12 month warranty. All items except lamps and fluids are
covered by this warrany and the returns and faulty goods policies below.
These policies do not affect your statutory rights and all sales are
govered by the sale of goods act 1979.
All product descriptions are taken from the manufacturers
information. Pictures are used for illustrative purposes only and should
only be used as a guide, please refer to the item description for
product information. Some pictures (flight cases for example) include
additional items of equipment in the photo to demonstrate their use,
these items are not included in the sale unless specified so in the
description. Showtec reserves the right to alter pricing and product
information without notice.
Cancellations & Returns: As transactions are trade sales to professional users, not consumers,
the distance selling regulations do not apply. Once an order has been
shipped (from ourselves or the manufacturer) an order cannot be
cancelled.
If an order is cancelled before shipping, or we are unable to supply
the goods as specified in the order, a full refund will be issued within
1 working day.
Should you wish to return an item for refund, a 25% restocking fee
will apply. This is to cover our time and cost of processing you order
and despatching it to you. In order to return an item, Showtec must be
informed within 7 days of receipt. If we are not notified prior to
return, items may be refused.
Any refund for a returned item will be processed within 7 days of us
receiving the goods back, and will be less the restocking fee. Items
must be returned in original and new condition, in the original unopened
packaging. Any items returned that have been opened or are in any way
marked (including marks to the packaging) may be either refused, or a
higher restocking fee may be charged, the value of which will be
determined by our staff depending on the condition of the unit received.
Delivery Failures:
Should our couriers be unable to deliver an item it will be held for a short period. We will contact you to let you know if this is the case, so you can arrange to either collect the item from the couriers holding point or re-arrange delivery. If this is not done the item will be returned back to us and your order will be cancelled and refunded excluding any carriage costs incurred.
Faulty Goods:
Every item must be checked when it is received. If an item is damaged
in transit we must be notified within 36 hours in order for us to make a
claim with the courier. Claims for damage in transit received later
then 36 hours may not be accepted, or could take longer to process.
In all instances of faulty items, Showtec must be contacted prior to
returning an item. This is to ensure it is dealt with swiftly and
efficiently.
If an item is found to be faulty within 7 days of receipt or is dead
on arrival, Showtec will collect the unit and replace the item within 7
days. In this case, Showtec must be informed of the fault within 7 days
of receipt in writing.
If a fault occurs after 7 days of receipt, or if Showtec are not
notified within 7 days of receipt, it is the customers resposibility to
return the item to us. Showtec must be contacted prior to return to
enable us to deal with it correctly. Items returned without our
knowledge may be refused. Once the item has been received, Showtec (or
the manufacturer on Showtecs behalf) will repair the unit and return it
to you. The warranty on any replacement units will continue for the
remainder of the original 12 month warranty. Due to the majority of
repairs being carried out by the manufacturer we cannot guarantee repair
times.
Any faults found to be resulting from customer negligence, misuse or
not correctly following the instructions will be chargeable.
Spare Parts:
We can supply spare parts for the Showtec brand of equipment. Parts are supplied without warranty, but should an item arrive faulty or dead, please notify us within 14 days so we can arrange a replacement.
