Project Elements: Sound, A/V & CCTV

Showtec were proud to be the installer for the new Los Mochis City restaurant and bar. On the 9th floor of the award winning 100 Liverpool Street building in the heart of London, Los Mochis offer a unique blend of Mexican and Japanese cuisine. With stunning views across London the venue offers a large indoor and outdoor dining and drinking experience.

A high quality system was required, with extensive control and monitoring in order to give the best possible experience for the customers while complying with the requirements of the building and client.

Inside the venue, the Void Acoustics Venu range was used to provide the main sound. 19 of the Venu 8 v2 and 10 of the Venu 208 v2 subs were mounted to the ceiling on custom brackets to help prevent vibrations travelling downwards to the office below. Void Cirrus 6 ceiling speakers wer used for the toilets and wine room.

Outside on the terrace, we chose the new JBL GSF6 speakers to provide the main sound, supplemented with Control 89MS bass bins. 29 of the GSF6 speakers were used in order to acheive the best coverage of sound across the whole terrace, while focusing on keeping the noise breakout to a minimum. A custom monitoring system was designed and fitted, using three Class 2 microphones to assess the average volume level and adjust the system accordingly to ensure there was no disturbances to neighbouring offices.

Peripheral sound was added to the wine room, toilets, corridors, lifts and entrance to ensure consistency throughout the venue.

A QSys Core 110F system processor was used to manage the terrace volume monitoring system, and give the client complete control over the volume and source in each area using iPads. Remote access was also set up to the system allowing us to make adjustements to the sound remotely without needing to visit the venue.

The UNV CCTV system comprised of 53 networked cameras and a 64 way NVR with 30TB of storage space, ensuring the entire venue was covered including kitchen, ground floor entrance and lifts.
